BRUNO CAMAROTI

Bruno Camaroti was bom in Recife, Brazil in March of 2000. Music has always been a big part of his life, with multiple music hobbyists in the family, he was introduced to Brazilian popular music (MPB), Bossa Nova, Forró, Baião and Samba at an early age, which resulted in him picking up the guitar at age 8. In his teens he was heavily influenced by Heavy Metal and Rack groups of the 1970s and 80s such as Judas Priest, mon Maiden, Metallica, Megadeth and Sepultura. He moved to Spain in 201C where he went to High School and was first exposed to Jazz and Funk. He begun gaining experience performing live at local bars in Barcelona with a group of friends which led him to study jazz at the local Liceu Conservatory with professor Pep Mateu. He then moved to South Florida in 2019 where he pursued a Bachelors Degree in Music at Florida Atlantic University and furthered his Jazz Studies under mentorship of renowned local guitarist and educator Lindsey Blair and artistic director Courtney Jones. He performed with the University’s Big Band and Jazz combos throughout his time at FAU on multiple events and concerts around town, including heading his own trio and duo as well as playing solo jazz guitar gigs. During this time he was also involved in the Rock and Indie local scene where he performed at venues all around Florida on both the guitar and the electric bass. After graduating from FAU he joined the Valerie Tyson Band to start his professional career as a sideman, and further develop his ability, repertoire and musicianship.
