Bass

David Henry was born on January 25, 1983 in Manitoba, Canada. A few years after he was born David’s family moved to Miami, Florida. Living in Miami, since the age of 5, David was exposed to a variety of music genres such as Latin and R&B that developed his love for music. At the age of 14, David’s began playing the soundboard at his local church. At Church he enjoyed listening to the musicians while operating the soundboard and would sneak on the stage after their rehearsal to check out the instruments. This is where he stumbled upon the bass guitar and the rest was history for David. David began to incorporate some of his musical influences in his music style such as Stanly Clark, Bob James, and Abraham Laboriel, who he considers is his biggest influence. David got his first chance to play in a live band in 2005 with a group called “The Third Dimension” The band played at several outdoor events, such as the Mango Festival, which featured Teena Marie and Kirk Franklin. In the summer of 2006, David decided he wanted to pursue a living playing music full-time. He went on several auditions and was hired by the Valerie Tyson Band, which he has been a member since 2007.
